2010 Mobility Bond

On November 2, 2010, Austin voters approved a $90 million bond program designed to enhance mobility in the region. Over the next two years, this bond program will invest in streets, sidewalks, bike paths, trails and transit infrastructure in all parts of Austin.

Strategic Principles

The following Strategic Principles informed development of the Bond proposal and will guide its implementation:

Design projects for next series of funding opportunities
Promote multiple forms of travel, reduce reliance on automobile, see cost effective and sustainable solutions
Respond to immediate congestion needs
Provide geographic balance
Position City to leverage State, federal dollars, coordinate with regional partners

The Austin City Council established a Bond Oversight Committee to help ensure accountability, efficiency, and equity in the implementation of Bond projects and programs approved by the citizens of Austin.
