Divisions
Channel 6 is the City’s government access channel. Programming includes City Council meetings, public meetings, news conferences, CityView news magazine, Live from the Plaza concerts and educational programming about City departments and initiatives. Watch Channel 6 live online.
Austin is committed to fully involving the community in decisions that may affect them, whether that's through City Council meetings, participation in boards and commissions, social media or community dialogues.
Launched in early 1995 as one of the few municipal government sites in the U.S., Austin’s website has vastly grown from its initial 300 pages. The site provides the public an Internet portal to all City departments, services and government functions.
