The Local Area Traffic Management program (LATM) is a request-based program to improve the quality and safety of neighborhood streets. This is achieved by installing devices along streets to slow traffic. These devices may include, but are not limited to, speed humps, speed tables, speed cushions, roundabouts, medians, chicanes and bulbouts.
Currently LATM is addressing only speed mitigation issues. Cut-through traffic issues may be considered in 2013.
Applications
Application packets for speed mitigation and the LATM guidelines and procedures are available online. No electronic applications are accepted. Hard copies of the application must be mailed or hand-delivered to the Transportation office address on the application. Also, please remember you must live, or own property, on a street to request speeding mitigation on that street. For more information on the LATM program and the application process, please check out the FAQ tab to the left of this page.
Requests Received to Date
A listing of all accepted requests is now available. This list includes no determination regarding eligibility of requests beyond compliance with the basic criteria required to initiate a speed and volume study. This list is organized by the funding round in which the request will be considered and then alphabetically by street name. This list includes all requests received by April 25, 2012.
