Residential Washwise Rebate Program
Purchase and install a qualifying washing machine to be eligible for a rebate. Submit your application with a copy of your receipt within 30 days of purchase or installation. To be eligible for the water rebate, you must receive water from Austin Water Utility or an eligible water provider.
Eligibility for the energy rebate depends on the type of water heat you have.
- If you have an electric water heater, you must have Austin Energy service.
- If you have a gas water heater, you must have Texas Gas Service and be within the city limits of Austin (rate code: Austin I/S Res).
- Propane water heaters are not eligible for the energy rebate.
Our rebate program is based on washers being in service for a minimum of five years; if you replace your washer within five years, we cannot grant another rebate.
